Cultural exchange

One of HITIP’s long-term projects is to create a Community Art Center—a community resource center that would include art, music, dance, an indigenous language, community-building activities and access to educational resources. This multi-generational, multi-cultural art center would be open to all members of the community as well as to visitors from other regions and countries. This center will host cultural exchanges and facilitate idea sharing about a variety of topics--medicinal plants, solar energy, sustainable agriculture, hands-on training workshops, organizing cooperatives, sports competitions, and eco-tourism.

Hope International for Tikar People was founded in 2002 in direct response to the needs of community members with immediate and critical health care needs.
